Phoenix Gray is seeking a skilled and versatile Contract Floor Layer to join a reputable construction company servicing the West Midlands. This role demands an experienced professional who is multi-skilled and proficient in fitting a range of flooring types, including LVT, carpet tiles, vinyl sheet, and various other flooring materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing subfloors, operating a variety of hand and power tools, and ensuring the precise installation of flooring according to project specifications. This is an ongoing position offering up to five days of work weekly across the West Midlands, providing a stable and continuous workload for the right individual.
- Proven experience in floor laying with knowledge of multiple flooring types.
- CSCS Card is mandatory.
- Driving licence and own vehicle are required, with willingness to travel being highly advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on site.
- Experience in mechanical floor preparation and subfloor repairs.
- Accurate measurement and cutting skills, following schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in flooring installation preferred.
